Here is some information about the Weekender Festival this weekend

The Weekender Festival

The Weekender Festival is set to take you on a journey through the best in underground electronic music and commercial dance over a jam-packed two days.

The legendary Pete Tong, Wilkinson and globe-trotter Ben Nicky will be on the Headline stage, while Casa showcases the likes of Eli Brown, Bart Skils, and Danny Howard. Joel Corry is joined by fellow chart topping stars 220 Kid, Franky Wah and Nathan Dawe. 

Boasting an easily accessible site for locals and out of towners alike, it has all the attributes of a classic UK festival weekend - lush green fields, local food vendors market, the best locally crafted beers, cocktails, Rowlands funfair, VIP tickets and great travel options, all to the soundtrack of some of the most exciting talent on the UK dance music scene.

Plymouth Citybus will be running special buses from Plymouth Railway Station and the City Centre.

Here is some information from Plymouth Citybus about the Stonehouse Bridge roadworks

From Monday 20th to 26th September Stonehouse Bridge towards the city centre from Devonport will be closed. Services #PCB5 #PCB5A #PCB21 #PCB21A #PCB34 will be diverted via Kings Road, Millbridge, High Street back to Stonehouse Roundabout and on to normal routes. Due to the diversion and traffic ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME FOR YOUR JOURNEY as THERE WILL BE DELAYS TO YOUR SERVICES.

We are having to make reductions to some of our bus routes with immediate effect.

This is due to challenges we are facing with staff availability, a problem facing many transport operators. We believe this issue will be short term as we move through the current spike of absence and progress the training of over 40 new drivers in our recruitment system.

We’ve tried to focus our resources on routes which get students to school, key workers to their jobs, and patients and visitors to healthcare, but we know that this will cause inconveniences for some of you, for which we apologise.

We’re working to get more drivers on the road, and are actively recruiting and training. The driver shortage has been compounded by delays at the DVLA, slowing down the paperwork we need before someone can drive for us.
