Plymouth Citybus' fare update

Good evening everyone

Here is some info from the Plymouth Citybus website
https://www.plymouthbus.co.uk/news-service-updates/fare-increase-2016/

Sorry, Cost Increases Mean Fares Increase

-

On the 4th December 2016 you will see a change to the tickets we offer and most of our ticket prices will increase.

Singles tickets will generally see an increase of between 5p and 15p, with return tickets increasing by between 5p and 35p.

Dayrider tickets Zone 1 & 2 will increase to £4.00 for adults and £3.00 for children (18 and under).

Weekly tickets will see an increase of £1 for adults and 50p for children. We have frozen all zone 2, zone 4 and annual product at current prices.

Due to the popularity of the ‘Add a Kid for a Quid’ introduced in the summer, we will continue to offer this ticket for 5 to 16 year olds. We will also introduce a new ‘Nightrider’ ticket, offering unlimited zone 1 and 2 travel after 6.30pm for just £2.00.

Those in full time education, training and apprenticeships; will still be given a 15% discount against adult fare through our ‘Get On’ products.

A downloadable price guide is available below, showing all new season ticket prices. Printed price guides will be available from our Travel Centre from 21st November 2015.

We have done our very best to absorb the increases we have incurred to our costs, through investment and growth; we have introduced new products designed to offer excellent value for money and frozen prices wherever possible.

I am sorry that this fare review is necessary and thank you for your support and custom.

Yours sincerely

Richard Stevens

Managing Director
