Buses Around Plymouth - the Christmas day post of 2016
Merry Christmas everyone.
Welcome to the Christmas Day post of 2016
Although it isn't a white christmas we have had some white christmases in the past few years as the photos below show.
All these photos courtesy of Graham Richardson of Plymothian Transit.
Also, thankyou very much loyal readers for using this year to read this blog. It has been interesting to see what has happened regarding the buses in the past twelve months covered with a post every day since January 1 2016 (when the posts started)
Firstly, regarding the main bus operators, Stagecoach bought brand new buses earlier in January and they also launched the South West Falcon from Plymouth to Bristol. Plymouth Citybus have introduced more buses for the Green Flash, Go Cornwall and other buses in the usual swoops livery as well as second-hand MAN Ecocitys, some of which are on the Orange Flash. And for Target Travel, they have introduced quite a lot of newer buses to replace older ones as well.
It is not just bus companies I would like to talk about but charitable organisations such as the PCTPG who have organised some really good events such as the Bus Running Day 2016 (the second one I have been to now) which was really enjoyable since there was a huge variety of buses which very the old Leylands to the new ADL Enviro 400s. I would like to thank Ralph and the team for putting on these events and I hope the PCTPG keeps up with the good work for 2017 and beyond.
Also, tommorow there are no scheduled bus services except for a Boxing Day timetable for the Stagecoach South West routes 1 and 2 (https://www.stagecoachbus.com/promos-and-offers/south-west/christmas-and-new-year-bus-services) - look under Boxing Day timetables
