Good evening everyone
Here is the first Bus News Around Plymouth in 2017
With no new news as such, let's recap on the recent timetable information about recently introduced and upcoming bus services.
Stagecoach South West (https://www.stagecoachbus.com/service-updates/serviceupdatesarticle?SituationId=ID-09/12/2016-11:41:30:500)
Route X38Due to an on-going decline in use following the introduction of Stagecoach Gold between South Brent, Ivybridge and Plymouth, and the South West Falcon between Plymouth, Drumbridges, Exeter and beyond, the number of journeys on this route will be reduced.
Peak journeys to both Exeter and Plymouth will remain in place for commuters and college students, supplemented by off peak shopping trips during the daytime. Certain journeys will be financially supported by Devon County Council with passengers in Buckfastleigh and Ashburton in mind, although regular links remain in place from these locations on route 88 to Newton Abbot and Totnes. The South West Falcon provides a faster and more comprehansive 24/7 service between Plymouth City Centre and Exeter (connecting with the Park & Ride at Sowton or Honiton Road).
To provide an extra bit of luxury for no additional cost, the X38 will be operated using Stagecoach Gold specification vehicles whenever possible, offering high back leather seats, extra legroom and free passenger WiFi.

Service 70/71
Due to an additional school contract being awarded to Citybus in the Rame area we have had to make some minor adjustments to our timetable in the Morning and Afternoon. Although this will have minimal impact on the timetable, the most notable change will see the 07:40 departure from Insworke (08:20 from HMS Raleigh) now serve Union Street on its way into the City Centre. This Journey will not serve the Railway Station.
The Journey that is due to run through Stoke Village at 08:52 arriving on Royal Parade at 09:07 will still be served using an alternative vehicle starting from Pottery Quay.

Service 72/73 A387 Road Closure 8th January to 13th April 2017
Due to the road closure above the service 73 will have a revised timetable between the above dates. This will also include a diversion from Sandplace via Morval and Widegates before arriving in Looe. The 72 will also see the removal of the Sunday service but this will be covered by the 73 revised Sunday Timetable during this road closure.
