Some changes from Go Cornwall Bus
Good evening everyone
Here are some changes from Go Cornwall Bus
(https://www.gocornwallbus.co.uk/timetable-updates-10th-april)
We’re planning some changes in April to improve routes and provide more reliable services.
We’ve worked closely with Cornwall Council and other transport providers to re-shape the network as we emerge from Covid, providing extra and more reliable services in the areas that need it most.
Some of the big changes include services going through Torpoint, which will continue to provide direct public transport links to Plymouth and Liskeard and introduce, for the first time, links to St Germans Railway Station and Saltash.
All journeys between Bodmin Parkway, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow will operate as service 10. The current service 10 between Wadebridge and Launceston via the picturesque coastal route through Polzeath, Port Isaac, Delabole and Camelford will be renumbered 96.
Service 21 has also been amended to operate via Hendra Holiday Park and Treloggan with extra journeys between Newquay and Quintrell Downs, taking in Hendra and Pentire, which means we’ll be able to run buses with more capacity past Hendra Holiday Park. Service 25 will be amended to operate in and out of Newquay via Henver Road.
The full list of proposed changes are as follows:
1
Morning school journey retimed to improve reliability; last journey withdrawn to remove duplication with First Kernow’s Land’s End Coaster
2
Service withdrawn, Go Cornwall Bus still to operate school journey – First Kernow service U4 revised to serve Praa Sands
3
Retimed to improve reliability
Penzance 5
Adjusted in the evenings to fit with connecting services
7
Service withdrawn. Journeys will be covered by First Kernow’s Atlantic Coaster.
10
Revised to provide a 30-minute service between Bodmin Parkway and Wadebridge. Hourly, journeys continue to Padstow, replacing the 11A
11/11A
Hourly service running between Plymouth, Liskeard, Trago Mills and St Neot. Journeys between Bodmin Parkway and Padstow are renumbered to service 10. Services 11, 12, 72 will provide 3 buses an hour in Saltash for Plymouth.
There is no longer a connection between the 11 & 11A at Bodmin Parkway due to the 11 ending at Trago Mills. There will still be a limited service between Liskeard and Bodmin on the 179 on college days only. There is a train service approximately every 30 minutes between Liskeard and Bodmin Parkway.
12/A
12/12A will provide an hourly service between Plymouth and Launceston, 12 will operate via Stoke Climsland, 12A will operate via St Dominic. 12A will no longer serve Downgate, Callington town services will be operated by the 235. Bude to Launceston will be reduced to two hourly.
